Where is Droopys Forum at the moment as she hasn't been on the track for ages?

Yes it is Dave.

She had been trying to come into season before, eventually the vet sussed she had a vitamin deficiency and prescribed a tonic for her. (she seemed to be running out of puff early in her races too).

The tonic obviously did the trick! We are all really looking forward to her return.

Latest picture of Droopys Forum taken this weekend at Albourne. As you can see she is fit and well and, hopefully, will be back on a track near you soon!

Let's hope she continues to look as good as she did in Sumik's picture ... my word! ... doesn't that extra little bit of weight hang well on her ...

Looking forward to Thursday! ... early paws towards a successful Autumn+ ...

Cazzie is still sunning herself with the rest of the gang, Tubby and Ruby et al....

Do not expect to see a return as we have identified a problem that is going to prevent her from further racing, we were concerned her blood disorder might have returned, she had a full blood test that incorporated all kidney and liver functions as well as haemaglobin levels etc.

The test on her kidneys incorporated 3 things 2 of which were OK. The third showed her Creatine level to be far too high for a racer. This has also resulted in a low haemaglobin level(should be over 60% is 53% apparently). It is fine for a pet or brood but not for a racer.

Despite the fact she has been on an extra special diet for six weeks to try and combat the problems, the re-test has shown that it has not helped her much, if she races competitively she will become extremely dehydrated and the dangers associated with that are obvious.

Apart from all this she is absolutely full of beans and enjoying racing around the padocks where she is.

Great to see owners , who are concerned with there hounds, lack of form...

Good owners through time and money have now identified the
problem and taken the appropriate steps....

This bitch has a fine card, great breeding, sure to find a suitable sire ...

I thought you might be interested to know that Cazzie is now with Barry (Shimba) in Ireland.

She was mated to Spiral Nikita 5 weeks ago. She is showing the general signs of an expectant mum and we are all keeping our fingers crossed!

Just thought that I would give you a quick update on Cazzie and get you a picture of the mum-to-be.

This picture was taken this morning during her daily run (sorry waddle) with Susie.  As you can see she is now well into the pregnancy and has only three weeks to go.  She even makes Dave Ide look slim doesn't she? :)

She had her booster innoculations last week and the vet was pleased with her general condition.  She was off her food a bit last week but that was a good sign and she is certainly making up for it now eating three meals a day with relish.
