> HOVE NAPS CHALLENGE SPRING 2010
Posted by Ell - 03-12-10 05:10 - 14 comments
THE HOVE NAP CHALLENGE SPRING 2010

THE COMPETITION WILL BE PLAYED OUT THROUGH 5 CONSECUTIVE SATURDAYS ...

Rd1 … Saturday 27th March 2010
Rd2 … Saturday 3rd April 2010

QF … Saturday 10th April 2010
SF … Saturday 17th April 2010

FINAL … Saturday 24th April 2010

3rd/4th Place Play-Off … Saturday 24th April 2010
(losing Semi-Finalists)

DETAILS

• On the Wed/Thurs meeting preceding every round a public open draw will be made in the downstairs main inside area which will pair contestants to go head to head on the following Saturday. I will post details of the draw here on the night that it is made.

• If your name is the first drawn in any pair, you will have Odd-Numbered races from which to choose your NAP. If your name is second drawn in any pair, you will have Even-Numbered races from which to choose your Nap.

• Please post on this forum (or PM to me) your NAP before 2.30pm on the Saturday in question. Otherwise, you may be deemed a non-arrival as I will post a review of the NAP Matches for the night’s racing shortly after.

• If a NAP selection is withdrawn as a non-runner, the selection will be replaced by the returned SP favourite (for joint/co-favs, the lowest trap number will apply) for that race.
If a NAP selection is in a voided race, the selection will be replaced by the returned SP favourite (for joint/co-favs, the lowest trap number will apply) for the following odd/even race … (or for the previous odd/even race, if NAP selection was made in Race 11 or Race 12)

• In the event of a drawn match, with both NAPS winning, the one with the largest Starting Price (SP) will be deemed the winner. A sudden death playoff will apply if both are the same SP!

• In the event of a drawn match, with both NAPS losing, the one with the highest placing & largest Starting Price (SP) will be deemed the winner. A sudden death playoff will apply if both are the same SP!

• I will post results of the NAP Matches on that Saturday night using information from the Track Results Sheet or the BGRB site.

• All winners will progress to the next round.

• As the number of entries is not so nice for draw purposes when it gets down to the final 5, there will have to be a 3-way semi & a standard 2-way semi to get to the final 2 entries.

• The 3 losing semi-finalists will then have the normal 3rd/4th place playoff (I've added a small 4th prize so that 2 of these 3 get something back for their efforts)

Entries are £15 per entry for up to 2 entries (£30) to try and win some cash or just to help the donation to the BGOA RGT. clapping.gif

45% of the total entrance fee will go to BGOA RGT ... 55% will go to the prize fund. cool.gif

BGOA RGT £270

Winner £175

Runner-Up £90

3rd Place £50

4th Place £15

TOTAL = £600

Payment may be made by cash, to myself (Ell) or to Dave Ide (BGOA Chairman) at any race meeting ... or ...

by cheque (made payable to BGOA RGT)

> THANK YOU
Posted by SILKY - 03-15-10 13:07 - 0 comments
A big, big thank you to all who made Codeys day so special yesterday. He had a brilliant time seeing all his old friends again. Special thanks to his 'minders' Julie, Rachel and Stacey who did a sterling job in containing him, especially when he tried to jump on the podium!! It was lovely that Roy who picked him up afer his fall was also there to be with him.
It was also nice to see so many people at the stadium, it was absolutely packed and the atmosphere was excellent. A really, really good morning. thankyou.gif thankyou.gif thankyou.gif

This sounds like an interesting concept....is Hove taking part in this, and if so, maybe we could get a retired greyhound or two in the photocall? big_thumbup.gif
